FAQ K84 Posting Problem: Error 1 and Freezing
Occasionally you may be trying to post your K84s and receive an error at the bottom of your screen stating "Error = 1" or "E = 1". This is caused by multiple things, and below we will define them from most common to most uncommon.
1. You are trying to post entries from a month that differs from your current month. Check your K84 Setup file for the cut off date as well as last bill date. Confirm they are set to the current month. If, for example, your cut off day is set to "22" that means any entries from the previous month with a date of the 22nd will cause error 1. You will need to contact CANdata support with your current month, and we can remove this entry for you.
2. The other common problem is similar to the above, however is not resulting in the cut off day being wrong, rather the last billing date falls before or on the current date. Change that to a day in the future to correct this problem.
3. An uncommon problem is that entry totals do not match the actual totals of the K84. This is a CBSA error, but can be corrected by CANdata. Contact Support with the day you're freezing on (as this issue will not show error = 1, and rather stop processing on the day in question).
