Problem:

My filing is rejected and it turns out I supplied an incorrect cargo control number (Incorrect CCN) or incorrect carrier cargo control number, how can I fix this?

Solution:

Best practice is to cancel the original filing with the same bad CCN, and the file a new filing with correct number.  CBSA generally does not allow you to change a CCN number as it is a primary data field in their system.

1. Using the original, mistaken CCN - Cancel the Close Message
2. Using the original, mistaken CCN - Cancel all impacted house bills
3. Once cancels completed fix the CCN
4. Send "ORIGINAL" house bills
5. Once all house bills accepted send ORIGINAL close message
